PIMP MY STUFF
ALTERNATIVE ALAMAT Book Launch: July 25, 2014
(Contains “BALAT, BUWAN, NGALAN”)

So apparently, the date is sealed: July 25, Friday, 4PM: the launch of the "Expanded Print Edition" of Alternative Alamat--an anthology of short fiction that repurposes Filipino myths and legends into modern, 21st century configurations--as well as 3 other new titles from Visprint.

Contained in AA is my contribution, “Balat, Buwan, Ngalan (A Myth for the 21st Century),” which has very solid connections to all the work going on in the ‘Verse comic book titles, as well as my novella Parman (also from Visprint).
If you’re following the ‘Verse, or have read Parman (or both), you may want to check my AA contribution.

For more on the “Expanded Print Edition,” see here.

Hello!

I realize this is coming out of nowhere and that makes it seem all sorts of odd, but my name is Stephanie. I'm doing an online scavenger hunt (which is totally real and not made up, I promise!) called the Greatest International Scavenger Hunt the World Has Ever Seen (https://www.gishwhes.com/). It has a website and is Google-able and everything!

One of the items is to get a previously published Sci-Fi author to write an original story (140 words max) about Misha Collins, the Queen of England, and an Elopus.

Misha Collins is an actor from the show Supernatural and is the founder of the hunt. An elopus is this year's hunt mascot, an octopus with the head of an elephant.

Is it absolutely crazy to ask for your help?

Please feel absolutely free to message me back to tell me you want to help us or know anyone who is willing, or if you would please like me to never message you again.

I can be reached at pets.garcia@gmail.com

Have an abnosome day!

Hi, Stephanie. :)

So I checked the Iguana today (Aug 10; I don't really get to check it daily these days) and saw your comment (dated Aug 6) about the GISHWHES.
And I checked the website and saw that this year's Hunt is over, so, apologies I wasn't able to help out...
:(

And no, it wasn't absolutely crazy that you asked for my help. My bad though that by the time I saw your request, the Hunt was done...
